KUWAIT CITY, June 18: A Kuwaiti sorcerer was arrested at Al-Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint, reports Al-Anba daily. According to sources, the suspect arrived at the checkpoint from a neighboring country and customs officers seized witchcraft tools from his car. Meanwhile, the Imam of a mosque lodged a complaint at Farwaniya Police Station against an unidentified individual who was wearing a niqab, accusing the person of throwing a wrapped magic charm inside the mosque after which he or she escaped in a waiting car.
Police impersonator held: A jobless Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for impersonating police and attempting to rob an expatriate after threatening him with a knife, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, securitymen were on routine patrol duty early morning when they saw the conman threatening an expatriate using a knife when the latter refused to give him his wallet.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for robbing expatriates. A security source said a Filipino expatriate had lodged a complaint at a police station against the suspect who robbed him of KD 300 and drove off in a car. The victim had provided police with details about the car including the number plate. The thief was arrested red-handed while attempting to rob an expatriate in Khaitan area.
