Winery, ‘red’ tents raided, uprooted

KUWAIT CITY, April 19: The encroachments demolition department of the Kuwait Municipality, Jahra Municipality, headed by Suleiman Al-Ghais, raided a ‘winery’ and tents where ‘wild’ parties took place. Both the places were uprooted. Al-Ghais said in a press statement said the campaign was organized in Arhiyya area in the south of Saad Al-Abdullah housing project, in continuation of the elimination of negative manifestations of all kinds of violations, stressing the campaigns will continue contrary to what is being rumored that the municipality has stopped the work of demolitions.

The official said to the contrary after the month of Ramadan the campaigns will be more intense. Al-Ghais praised the cooperation of some owners of sheds who themselves dismantled the sheds. On the other hand, the control team in the Capital Governorate during a campaign lifted 16 neglected cars in the Sharq region, while the control team in Farwaniya Governorate made a tour of cooperative societies, shops and markets and issued three citations and removed 67 hoardings for violating the laws.
