Kuwait take 20th place after losing to Iran

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: Curtain will be drawn on the ongoing World Under-20 Water Polo Championship being held in the swimming pools of the Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Water Games Swimming Pools Complex at Al-Nasr Club on Friday, December 20. The final match will be held at 6 pm.

Prior to that, a match for determining the seventh and eighth positions will be held at 1:30pm, followed by a match at 3:30 pm to determine the fifth and sixth positions, and another at 4:30 pm to determine the third and fourth positions. In the matches played on Thursday, December 19, Kuwait took 20th place after losing to Iran by 4-12.

Abdullah Jassem, Abdul-Rahman Al-Wazzan, Manaf Al-Majdi and Mubarak Dashti scored the goals for Kuwait. Hungary came 9th after beating Canada by 15-5. Australia took the 11th position after a victory over New Zealand by 9-8. Russia occupied the 13th position after they rode on South Africa by 20-10. Egypt beat China by 14-9 to occupy the 15th position. Brazil came out triumphant against Uzbekistan by 22-7 and took the 17th position.
