KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Information security and programming experts have warned about the possibility that others can access cameras installed in different parts of the house, including bedrooms, as some users have been ignoring the need to change the username and password; indicating the cameras are released from factories with familiar usernames and passwords, reports Al-Rai daily.

The experts pointed out that factory settings like the username and password are internationally recognized; hence, the need to change them once the cameras are connected to the Internet. In separate conversations with the daily, the experts said many users forget to take this important step after installing the cameras. They reiterated that “ignoring or forgetting such changes enables any programmer from anywhere in the world to access and control the cameras, up to the point of seeing private recordings.”
