Wanted woman, man nabbed; 60 drug pills seized from Indian

KUWAIT CITY, May 17: A Kuwaiti woman who is wanted by law for several cases was arrested in Kuwait City. According to security sources, private taskforce officers were patrolling Capital Governorate when they suspected a vehicle and requested the driver to pull over.

When she ignored the orders, securitymen chased the vehicle until it stopped and checked the details of the driver to discover she is a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for involvement in several cases particularly of cheating. She was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a Syrian expatriate who is wanted by law for involvement in several cheating cases was arrested in Salmiya area dressed in a dishdasha.

60 narcotic pills seized: An Indian expatriate was arrested in Shaab area in possession of drugs. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Shaab area when they saw the driver of a vehicle trying to escape as soon as he noticed the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased him and eventually forced him to stop.

They checked his details to discover he is an Indian expatriate. Sensing his nervousness, they checked his vehicle to find 60 narcotic pills. He was arrested and referred with the narcotic pills to the Drugs Control General Department for investigations.

Meanwhile, Jahra securitymen arrested a GCC national in possession of Captagon pills in Qasr area. He caught the attention of patrolling securitymen while he parked his vehicle on the side of a road to wait for one of his friends. He was referred with the confiscated pills to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
