Union to work towards vision’s success

KUWAIT CITY, May 26, (KUNA): Achieving Kuwait’s vision 2035 and developing the northern region of the country is a dream for every Kuwaiti, said a statement by public sector trade union Sunday.

In the statement obtained by KUNA after meeting with the agency’s Chairman of the Board and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Sabah, the union said that achieving the goals of vision 2035 and the development of the northern region of Kuwait was a national obligation and must for all sectors of Kuwaiti society. Developing the public sector and enhancing education are crucial for administering Kuwait’s future vision and the work market.

The union will work vigorously with all entities in Kuwait to help realize progress in Kuwait through vision 2035 via transforming Kuwait to a regional and international hub for commerce and business.

The vision will provide numerous job opportunities and unite Kuwaitis on the road for development and progress, affirmed the statement, which hoped that the unified goal will also lead to battling corruption and bolstering transparency in the country.

Social and economic development is important to the vision spearheaded by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, said the statement, adding that the union was eager to work with various government entities to promote the development vision via media outlets and other means.

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) is keen on supporting unions to achieve national goals of development and welfare, KUNA Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Sabah said Sunday. This statement came during Sheikh Mubarak’s reception of a delegation of trade unions.

KUNA’s chief commended the role played by the union in bolstering the development and progress of Kuwait. He affirmed that KUNA would provide all its assets to help professionals achieve the national goals of the country, which will contribute to Kuwait’s Vision 2035. Meanwhile, the trade union delegation expressed in a statement their appreciation of KUNA’s role in highlighting the efforts carried out by numerous workers unions, affirming this support contributed to Kuwait’s efforts for development.

The delegation was headed by chairman of the government sectors workers union and head of the Healthy Ministry workers union Hussain Al-Azami and included other professionals from various government sectors and ministries.
