Victim’s brother held as two Saudi citizens shot to death

KUWAIT CITY, July 30: Two Saudi nationals aged 39 and 40 were shot dead by the brother of one of the victims inside a diwaniya in Umm Al-Haiman area. The suspect was eventually arrested at Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received reports about shooting inside the diwaniya of a house in Umm Al- Haiman area, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and found the corpses of the two victims.

They discovered that the one of the victim’s brother had shot them using a Kalashnikov and then fled. The corpses were referred to the Forensics Department. Later, officers at Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint arrested the suspect who was trying to flee the country. He was referred with the weapon used in the crime to the concerned authorities where investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the crime.
