US team conducts comprehensive security survey of three airports

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: A US team, which is currently visiting the country for a week, conducted a comprehensive security survey of the three airports (the Kuwait International Airport, T4 and T5) to ensure the continued implementation of strict security measures in accordance with the required international standards, which include the provision of inspection of aircraft and passengers bags and air cargo in coordination with the Department of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Interior. A source told the daily, that the Civil Aviation Department and the Ministry of Interior have met the requirements for the security plans of these three airports, at the request of the US team, which will submit a final report of this survey to the competent authorities in Kuwait, especially that the initial report submitted by the US team during its first visit Kuwait has said the Kuwait International Airport meets all safety standards.
