US drug peddler held; Dad beats up teachers

us drug dealer in kuwaitKUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: An American employee of Arifjan Army Camp was arrested in possession of drugs and KD 72,000. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, when officers from General Department for Criminal Investigations received information about an American expatriate involved in drug peddling, a team was formed based on instructions from Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Abdulhameed Al- Awadi and under the supervision of Director General of General Department for Criminal Investigations Major General Mahmoud Al-Tabakh.

After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the suspect was arrested in possession of 1,400 sachets of drugs and KD 72,000 which he had earned from selling drugs. He confessed that he smuggled the drugs into the country through the courier service used in Arifjan Camp, adding that he also manufactures narcotic substances in his house. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.

Dad beats up teachers: Two teachers from a school for boys in Salem Al- Mubarak have filed complaints with the police accusing the father of one of the schoolboys of assaulting them, reports a local Arabic daily. The daily added the teachers have submitted medical reports issued by the Adan Hospital to substantiate their claims. According to the teachers, the boy complained to his father that the teachers had beaten him and the father rushed to the school and beat the teachers.
