US citizen arrested with 20 kgs of chemical drug worth KD 350,000

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: An American expatriate was arrested for peddling in a chemical drug, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, when officers from General Department for Criminal Investigations received information about an American expatriate involved in drug peddling, officers carried out investigations and confirmed the information.

After taking legal procedures, they raided the suspect’s house and seized 20 kilograms of the chemical drug packed in 150,000 sachets that were ready for sale.

The confiscated sachets of the chemical drug are worth nearly KD 350,000. The suspect was referred with the contraband to the General Department for Drugs Control for investigations.

Meanwhile, two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested for consuming and peddling drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. According to a security source, Special Taskforce officers were patrolling Arabian Gulf Street when they stopped a vehicle with two occupants due to reckless driving. They checked their civil IDs to discover they are Kuwaiti citizens.

They also checked the vehicle to find five sachets of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and KD 780. The suspects were arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for investigations.
