UAE lists three new monkeypox cases

KUWAIT, May 29: UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention Society announced Sunday three new monkeypox cases across the country. In a press statement, the ministry stressed the necessity of following safety and protection measures, and abiding by preventive procedures during travel and gatherings.

The authorities are taking all required measures, including monitoring and checking those who are in close contact with infected cases, and continues working to ensure readiness of the health sector to face infectious diseases and epidemics, it pointed out. Last Tuesday, the UAE declared the first monkeypox case of a 29-year-old woman coming from West Africa. (KUNA)
