Two wraps of hashish seized from Asian man

KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport foiled the attempt of an Asian man to smuggle two wraps of hashish hidden in a pack of tamarind. The officers suspected the man upon arrival from his home country, so they checked his luggage thoroughly leading to the discovery of the contraband. He was referred to the concerned security unit for legal measures.
1m Iraqi dinars stolen: An unknown burglar broke into the house of an Iraqi man in Taima, Jahra and stole one million Iraqi dinars and some passports, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the location to identify the culprit.
Man held for thefts: An unidentified individual was arrested for stealing handbags, cell phones and other items from cars parked near jogging tracks in several areas, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Rumaithiya area when they noticed a man walking on a jogging track and running away as soon as he saw the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased him and caught him. When questioned about the reason behind running from the police, the suspect admitted to committing five thefts. He was arrested and referred to the Criminal Investigations Department
