Two women held for prostitution, aborting fetuses in Farwaniya

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 20: Police have arrested two unidentified women, along with the three year- old daughter of one of them, for staying illegally in the country, involving in immoral activities and carrying out abortions in return for money, reports Al-Rai daily quoting security sources.

According to the daily, the suspects were subjected for random check in Farwaniya. When police discovered they had no identification documents, they were referred to the area police station and after taking permission from the Public Prosecution raided their apartment in the area.

In the apartment police found two other women, who had reportedly run away from their sponsor. The women indulged in immoral activities and helped abort fetuses in return for money.

Police also found a dead fetus preserved in a bottle and instruments used by the women to carry out abortions. They have been referred to the concerned authorities to complete investigations. The fetus has been sent to the Forensic Medicine
