KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: MEED magazine revealed that the front-end engineering and design work for two assembly centers for the Kuwait Oil Company has been 90 percent complete, and it is expected that engineering, procurement and construction contracts will be floated in mid-2023, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The first project scope includes the installation of a new facility named Chapter 1 collection center and water injection plant, and the second project scope includes the installation of a new facility called Chapter 3 collection center and water injection plant. The Kuwaiti oil fields are linked to a wide network of gathering centers, which serve as a site for collecting crude oil produced in many wells connected to flow lines, as gathering centers in the country provide initial treatment by separating associated gas and removing salt. Over the past few years, there have been a few new project announcements in the oil and gas sector in Kuwait.
