Two Kuwaitis, Saudi man held for ‘drug’ trafficking

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The Farwaniya police have taken into custody three men – two Kuwaitis and a Saudi – for trafficking in drugs. According to the security sources, the suspects were travelling in a vehicle at a late hour and the police patrol ordered the man behind the wheel to pull over to check their IDs. While checking the ID, the officer discovered the man was abnormal and after checking the men and their vehicle, the officer found narcotics. The suspects were arrested and taken to the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC).

Smuggling with drone: Drug traders continue to use novel methods to smuggle into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. In the latest incident, personnel from the Personnel from the General Department for Drugs Control (GDDC) have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for smuggling 5 kilos of hashish into the country from the Safwan region in Iraq using a drone. The daily quoting security sources said the Kuwaiti sent the drone to his Iraqi counterpart with the help of a remote control and the drone was sent back with a load of hashish. The suspect, the contraband and the drone have been referred to the concerned authority.
