Two Egyptians nabbed in ‘iqama’ forgery

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: Criminal Detective Police (Farwaniya Security Command) arrested two Egyptians for forging residency renewal stickers at the Interior Ministry in exchange for money. After receiving forgery complaints accompanied with evidence, the officers embarked on an intensive investigation that led them to the two Egyptians who were lured into a trap leading to their arrest in Hawally.
One of them has criminal records — three fraud cases worth KD 9,224 and 13 complaints. The officers raided the house of the suspects where they found two passports as well as several fake residency stickers and financial stamps, tools they used for forgery, and many Interior Ministry transaction documents. The suspects referred to the concerned authorities.
