Two bedoun held in service center theft – KD 21,000, e-passport forms stolen

KUWAIT CITY, March 7: Police have arrested two bedoun in connection with the theft at the Doha Citizens Service Center, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the suspects broke into the center and escaped with revenue stamps vending machine containing KD 21,000 cash, 25 blank e-passport forms and driving licences. The arrest came after an unidentified Asian gave police a tipoff about the suspect following which securitymen put him under surveillance and traced his cell phone calls. The suspect, who is believed to be in his 20s, was seized inside a café in Hawalli. The young suspect is said to have admitted to the charge and guided police to his accomplice. The suspects are being interrogated to ensure no one else is involved in the crime.

Guards attacked: Police have arrested an unidentified person for verbally abusing and attacking the security guards at the College of Business Studies, reports Al- Shahed daily. This happened when the security guards prevented the man from entering the gate reserved for female students only under the pretext he had come to take home one of his female relatives.

However, when he was told it was against the college rules, he became boisterous and attacked the guards. Acting on information police rushed to the college and referred the person to concerned authorities. A report has been submitted to senior officials of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.
