The two barrels filled with raw materials for brewing of liquor

KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Two Asian expatriates were arrested in possession of two barrels of locally manufactured liquor inside a flat in Hawally area. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling the area when they noticed a man running as soon as he saw the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased him until they saw him run into a flat.

They requested for backup as well as a warrant from the Public Prosecution to raid the flat. They then raided the flat to find two barrels filled with locally manufactured liquor as well as the suspect with another Asian expatriate. When questioned, one of the suspects revealed that the liquor is intended for personal use as well as to share with their friends.

The two suspects were arrested and referred with the two barrels of liquor to the concerned authorities for further investigations and necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a Sri Lankan expatriate was arrested in Salmiya area in possession of two imported liquor bottles.
