Truckloads of foodstuff, clothes confiscated

Municipality personnel confiscate old clothes and foodstuff at a makeshift, illegal market set up in Hassawi.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 16: The Public Sanitation and Road Works Department at the Kuwait Municipality branch in Farwaniya Governorate raided the makeshift market in Hassawi, resulting in the issuance of five citations to hawkers and confiscation of three trucks of foodstuff and used clothes. In a press statement, the Public Relations Department affirmed the concerned authorities in the Municipality will continue such campaigns in order to curb the negative phenomenon which tarnishes the image of the governorate.
