KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: With the government submitting its resignation all ministerial nominations to fill the vacant positions at senior level have effectively been ‘put on hold’ even if the candidates have passed the tests, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting responsible sources.

The sources indicated that, in practice, with the resignation of the government, and the formation of a new government, the new minister will not be obliged to appoint the candidates who were nominated by the outgoing ministers. The new appointees will be decided by the new minister and the Council of Ministers. The sources stated there is no specific period for the validity of the test result, as the candidate who passes the test can benefit from his result even if he is nominated to serve another authority or even by the new minister.
