Thousands missing after ATM cards swallowed

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: Thirty people have filed complaints with a local bank because their ATM cards have been eaten by the machine when they went to withdrew money, reports Al- Shahed daily. Each person said he/she punched in the right password but somehow the ATM swallowed the card. Surprisingly all of them later discovered that KD 36,655 had been collectively stolen from their accounts, but the big question is how and who had access to these credit cards.

According to reliable sources, the affected bank clients have requested the authorities to see the CCTV footage to know how the money has been stolen, because it remains a mystery since it is unlikely for anyone to penetrate the bank system

Forgery detection devices: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has begun using devices to detect forgery of documents and state revenue stamps, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily added, the devices will be used by all labor departments affiliated to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. According to a reliable source PAM is determined to stamp out forgeries and falsification of documents.
