KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh issued a decision to extend the residence and visits visas granted under Ministerial Resolution No. (444/2020), which will expire at the end of this August to be extended for another 3 months automatically.

The extension is from the beginning of next September and will end on 30th Nov 2020. The extension have been given due to the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through due to the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19) and keeping in view on humanitarian and exceptional cases of stranded expats.

The administration clarified that the decision concerns to stranded expats who are in Kuwait who are having residency of all kind and whose residency has expired, the extension also pertains to those who entered the country on visit visas of all kind and whose visas have expired.

All sponsors and employers have to amend the conditions of their sponsored persons and should complete the procedures for renewing their regular residency, either through the website of the Ministry of Interior or by visiting the departments of residency affairs in the governorates.

All visitors have to organize their travel plans and should leave the country before the deadline expires on 11/30/2020
