KUWAIT CITY, July 26: Thai media praised a taxi driver for his honesty as he returned 53,000 Baht (about KD 480) and personal documents to a holidaying Kuwaiti who forgot his bag in the taxi, reports Al-Rai daily.

Phaen Jitrabiat, 39, found the bag in his taxi when he was about to take a nap inside the vehicle after taking the tourist from the airport to a resort town Monday. Phaen said he opened the bag and saw it contained a lot of cash. He then went to Pattaya City Police Station and asked the officers to help him find the owner of the bag.

Police checked the documents inside the bag and contacted the Kuwaiti who quickly showed up at the police station. He was happy to get his bag back with the 53,000 Baht and essential documents still secure inside. He thanked and praised the cabbie for his honesty. “It is true that we all want to have money, but not by unjustly taking the money of others,” the driver said in a video clip with the young Kuwaiti.
