KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Head of Kuwait Municipality Emergency Team in the Capital Governorate Zayd Al-Enezi announced that the team “set up a mechanism for searching and investigating private residential buildings which accommodate bachelors as well as resending letters and complaints to the Interior Ministry,” reports Al-Rai daily.

In his statement to the daily, Al-Enezi revealed the emergency teams assigned in the six governorates have received direct instruction from Municipality Director Ahmad Al-Manfouhi to survey houses for this purpose. He said his team prepared a comprehensive archive of complaints received in the past concerning bachelors living in private residential areas, in addition to procedures taken to investigate the issue. He added, “The ministry has yet to respond to some complaints.” He also affirmed that “the Municipality has always been keen on ensuring the investigations and search procedures are conducted in a serious manner due to their importance in verifying complaints.

He went on to say his team takes legal measures based on the outcome of investigations. He asserted the Municipality has fulfilled all requirements in handling complaints, given that communications end with addressing the ministry and then the Municipality waits for the outcome of investigations. In a related development, an official source from the Municipality told the daily that Al-Manfouhi is planning to meet officials in charge of real estate registration to update title deeds as a preliminary step to integrate lists of the Municipality and the ministry.
