KUWAIT CITY, March 4: An unidentified Syrian is said to have lost 17,000 dinars, who allegedly became the latest victim in a series of thefts, but unscrupulous elements who pose as bank employees and demand bank data including the four digit pin number in the name of updating the account, reports Al-Rai daily.

Although aware campaigns have been raised by various sources and in spite of standing instructions issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait and all local banks not to give away vital information over the phone saying no bank employee is authorized to take such information, people continue to fall prey - some due to ignorance and others because they are lured with non-existent gifts
