KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: Last week, the Ministry of Interior administratively deported a Syrian to his home country for allegedly what the ministry called ‘mocking’ the Kuwaiti currency, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to security sources the man was arrested after he appeared in a video clip on his personal account in the social media sitting in front of large sums of Kuwaiti currency notes and boasting – the behavior termed inappropriate by the authorities.

Meanwhile, personnel from the criminal security sector recently thwarted the attempt of an unidentified person to smuggle narcotics pills into the country, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily said the suspect, believed to be a bedoun, was arrested when he came to receive an air parcel.
