Syrian critically hurt in revenge-stabbing by Kuwaiti – Body-builders assault expat

KUWAIT CITY, July 31: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for stabbing a Syrian expatriate three times during a quarrel in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location to discover some passers-by settled the quarrel and took the victim to Farwaniya Hospital.

Securitymen rushed to the hospital and conducted investigations to discover the victim is a Syrian expatriate who was stabbed with a knife by a Kuwaiti citizen.

Securitymen immediately arrested the citizen, who confessed to the crime and revealed about a former dispute between them. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, a woman of Gulf nationality filed a case against her brother in Taima Police Station, accusing him of beating her using a stick during a quarrel over some family-related problems.

She presented a medical report to indicate the injuries she sustained. Steps have been taken to summon the suspect for questioning.

Expat assaulted: Two body-builders physically assaulted an Arab expatriate in front of onlookers in Hawalli area.

A video clip regarding the episode went viral on social media as the two body builders beat up the victim mercilessly. The police are since looking for the duo.

A security source said details of the two suspects have been circulated to security checkpoints based on information provided by the victim, including the number plate of their vehicle.

The duo is said to have assaulted another person who tried to intervene to rescue the victim.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti lady accompanied her 16-year-old son to the Jahra police station to lodge a complaint against two youths staying in the neighboring house for beating her son while he was going to the area cooperative society. Measures were taken to invite the accused for questioning.

Peddling drugs: Officers from the Criminal Security Department apprehended an Asian expatriate for peddling in illicit drugs.

Apparently, the anti-narcotics unit received information about the activities of the suspect and formed a team of detectives to verify the information. Guarded by search and arrest warrant, security operatives raided his apartment in Farwaniya area and recovered 3kg of heroin. The suspect acknowledged peddling in narcotics. He was referred to Drug Prosecution.
