Syrian arrested for changing expiry date of foodstuff

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department recently stormed a storehouse in the basement of a building in Khaitan and arrested a Syrian who specialized in replacing the foodstuff validity dates after its expiry, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, although the foodstuffs had expired more than three months ago, the suspect was caught red-handed replacing the dates. During interrogation the suspect who has admitted to the charge has been handed over to the Public Prosecution. The daily added, police raided the place after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry was tipped off about the activity of the suspect
