KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: A Sudanese shepherd was murdered by his Kuwaiti sponsor in a farm in Wafra area. According to security sources, the victim was declared dead after he was brought to Wafra clinic. His brother revealed that the victim’s Kuwaiti sponsor had hit him on the head with an iron rod, which caused him to fall unconscious. The citizen was detained in police custody for investigations along with the victim’s brother.
Meanwhile a primary grade student of a school in Mubarak Al-Kabeer tried to strangle his classmate with a rope during school hours. Director of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Educational Zone Mansour Al-Dehaini said investigation is underway to determine the cause of incident. Management of the school took immediate steps to isolate the perpetrator and notified his guardian about the incident. He was obliged to sign an undertaking, Al-Dehaini noted. He also said the victim refused to file an official complaint with the educational zone but the management has since conducted necessary investigation to prevent repetition of the incident. He assured employees of the schools in the educational zone in coordination with the Ministry of Interior ensure the safety and security of students in all grades; indicating students are made to abide by school regulations.
