Student caught using satellite phone for cheating

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: The supervisor of a school in the Jahra Governorate recently prevented an unidentified student from cheating in exams, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the student was using a sophisticated ear set which works via the satellite through which he was receiving answers from an unidentified location. The set has been confiscated. The daily did not make a mention of the student.

Dead in transit: The remains of an unidentified Malaysian woman have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily quoting security sources said the corpse was moved to Forensics after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry was informed about the incident. According to security sources the victim was in transit at the airport hotel and was to fly home to Malaysia after performing a pilgrimage in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Suicide attempted: Doctors at the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital recently rescued a 37-year-old Egyptian who had attempted to end her life by consuming expired medicine, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the woman lost consciousness inside her home in Salwa after consuming the medicine and was rushed to the hospital. Investigation is under way to find out why the woman wanted to end her life.
