State Security team arrests CID employee over ‘joke’ on DAESH

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: The State Security police have arrested an unidentified employee working for the Criminal Investigation Department for placing a call overseas to a citizen and claiming to be member of DAESH and luring him to join the organization, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable Interior Ministry source.

He also informed the recipient of the call that a terrorist operation was being planned but the daily did not mention the place, date or time.

Following a complaint filed by the Kuwaiti, the State Security police managed to identify the caller. During interrogation the suspect said he was just playing a joke on his ‘friend’.

Wanted arrested: Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for his involvement in financial fraud cases worth KD 200,000. They referred him to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action
