Sponsor’s mother assaults her maid using a frying pan – Court sets her free

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: The Misdemeanor Circuit of the Court of First Instance acquitted a Kuwaiti woman in her 50’s for hitting her daughter’s housemaid on her face using a frying pan.

According to the case file and the statement given by the victim during investigations, the accused, who is the mother of her sponsor’s wife, beat her using hands and a frying pan, causing multiple injuries that were detailed in a medical report.

It was also proven that the accused was in her complete senses during the act. The defense counsel Lawyer Fahad Al-Hadiya stressed on lack of concrete evidences to support the accusations levelled against his client, affirming the maliciousness behind the accusations, delay in reporting the assault and the invalidity of the medical report
