KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: Oh our government! Minister of Commerce, do you know that there are young people and entrepreneurs who left the country for Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf states to escape the complicated procedures which you ‘invent’ every day?
Travel and entry are restricted or rather non-existent; no visas issued, clubs are not allowed to function and even sports and recreational activities are forbidden, such as belly dance – of course for women – because you administratively closed the club immediately without valid legal reasons. It looks like there are people out there who deliberately push the country down the drain – from an economic point of view. So where will the good come from? Zahed Matar, Arab Times
