Smuggling of 9814 cigarette packets to Saudi Arabia foiled

KUWAIT CITY, March 11: A vehicle arrived at the Nuwaiseeb port driven by an individual on Thursday. However, the customs officials suspected the car and upon inspection, they found that it was equipped and prepared for smuggling. They discovered around 981 cigarette cartons, containing 9814 packets, during the examination. Appropriate legal measures were taken as a result.

Furthermore, the Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Mr. Sulaiman Al-Fahd, commended the work of both male and female customs inspectors across all ports. He also appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Interior’s staff at the Nuwaiseeb border crossing, for their swift response and continuous collaboration.
