KUWAIT CITY: Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) has issued a decision banning shrimp fishing at Kuwait’s territorial waters from January 2017 to the end of August, reports Al-Shahed daily. Director General of PAAAFR Faisal Al- Hassawi also said the decision bans the sale of local shrimps during the period, although it’s allowed to import fresh shrimps and frozen shrimps via air and sea (through Shuwaikh Port) whereas importation of shrimps by land will be restricted to farmed shrimps only after obtaining relevant permit in accordance with applied laws and regulations
