‘Sheikha’ robs Kuwaiti prisoner

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: An unidentified lawyer representing a male Kuwaiti inmate of the Central Prison has filed a complaint with the police accusing an unidentified woman of robbing his client to the tune of 37,000 dinars, reports Al- Rai daily. According to the complainant, the suspect convinced the inmate, who was serving time in connection with an unidentified offense, that she is related to an influential member of the ruling family and promised to get his name on the Amiri Pardon list. However, after receiving the money the ‘Sheikha’ refused to answer calls. The case is handed over to the personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), who has summoned the suspect to listen to her part of the story and/or to find out the extent of her involvement in the fraud.
