‘Arnoud’s Love for the Prophet’

KUWAIT CITY, March 1: Sheikha Marayem Al-Khair, the wife of Sheikh Ali Sabah Al-Nasser, announced her sponsorship for the production of a global documentary series on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) entitled “Arnoud’s Love for the Prophet.” The documentary series will be reproduced in various languages, the most important of which is the Arabic language. It will be produced in conjunction with Salsabeel Celebrity Company which will supervise the production and reproduction stages. The documentary will focus on enhancement of humanitarian, moral and social values in the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and it will be broadcast with well-studied messages to the western society in a bid to raise awareness on the real Islam.

In a press statement, Sheikha Marayem Al-Khair explained the idea of producing a documentary series on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came about after the visit of former vice president of the ruling Dutch Freedom Party (PVV) Arnoud van Doorn to the Palace Diwaniya of Sheikh Ali Al-Sabah. Sheikha Marayem said Arnoud van Doorn narrated his story on becoming a Muslim and what he went through after he made the infamous film “Sedition” funded by the European Zionist lobby as it offended Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

She said she is following in the footsteps of her late husband Sheikh Ali Sabah Al-Nasser who was famous for his charitable and humanitarian support for the impoverished and the needy in many disaster stricken countries. “The making of a documentary series on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be added to his record of achievements and charitable works which elevates the honor of Islam and Muslims,” she added. Sheikha Marayem stated that Kuwait was and continues to be one of the sources for promoting the glory of Islam and Muslims, as it made its first film impression in honoring our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the production of the film, “The Message,” which was produced by internationally renowned film producer Mustafa Al-Aqaad. She said this impression is being renewed through the funding of the first global documentary series on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which will be reproduced in Arabic and different foreign languages. The documentary series will be entitled, “Arnoud’s Love for the Prophet.”

It will be reproduced under the supervision of filmmaker and former vice president of the ruling Dutch Freedom Party (PVV) Arnoud van Doorn, who previously offended the “best of mankind” in his production of the film “Sedition” (Fitna) which was funded by the Zionist lobby in Europe. However, after he converted to Islam and performed Hajj (pilgrimage) and Umra, Arnoud did not allow this offensive work to be the highlight of his career so he decided, with funds received from Khair Al-Kuwait Organization, to make a new and positive film which glorifies Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On the other hand, former vice president of the ruling Dutch Freedom Party (PVV) Arnoud van Doorn expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the people of Kuwait and the hospitality he received from them. Arnoud revealed he is preparing to study the most famous and important books ever published in foreign languages about the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in order to adopt vital items contained therein. He said the information gathered from these books will be transformed into a film material that introduces Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his achievements in spreading the call of Islam, indicating the documentary film will target European and American societies.

He also pointed out that the actual start of correcting the image and misconceptions about Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the West will be through dialogues promoted by others, listening to them and responding to questions in a convincing and rational manner, backed with the most compelling evidence which will be his methodology in making the documentary film. Furthermore, Board Chairperson of Salsabeel Celebrity Company Ahmad Al-Farsi expressed his gladness over the sponsorship of Sheikh Marayeem Al-Khair for the documentary on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), confirming that the formation of a comprehensive task force has kicked off. He said this task force consists of international experts who will closely supervise the preparation, casting and reproduction stages of the documentary. He added the production and finishing stages of the film about the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will be done in an advanced, exciting and impressive manner
