Senior officials inspect mosque protection op – Panhandlers to face interrogation

KUWAIT CITY, June 25, (KUNA): Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Maj-Gen Ibrahim Al-Tarrah made an inspection tour of mosques Friday night to verify the preparedness of security personnel tasked with protecting the safety of worshippers during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.
He was accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr Walid Al-Shu’aib, according to a statement by the Interior Ministry’s Security Media Department. The two senior officials met with heads of police patrols and voluntary teams, males and females, to make sure of the sound implementation of the Interior Ministry’s plan to protect the places of worship.
