KUWAIT, June 2: The Farwaniya police acting on information rushed to the home of a Kuwaiti woman and set her free, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said the woman was locked inside by her compatriot husband due to previous differences between them. The woman was set free when she informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior. She also accused the husband of beating her and locking her inside a room. Maid attempts suicide: The Ahmadi police have arrested a Kuwaiti who was wanted by law for smuggling drugs into the country and had been sentenced in absentia for 90 years, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect has been handed over to the concerned authorities. In another unrelated incident, a 50-year-old Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Mina Abdullah Police Station accusing his maid of attempting to commit suicide by consuming toxic substance in Wafra.
