Securitymen ‘seize’ 22 vehicles, arrest owners for reckless driving – Asian held with 34 liquor bottles

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Ahmadi securitymen seized 22 vehicles and arrested their owners for driving recklessly and endangering their lives and of others around them. According to security sources, Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa formed a team of securitymen for carrying out intensive traffic campaigns in various areas of Ahmadi Governorate based on instructions from Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.

During the campaigns, Ahmadi securitymen arrested individuals who were caught driving recklessly, and seized their vehicles. The arrested individuals were referred to the police station and their vehicles were referred to the seized-vehicle garage.

Meanwhile, an Asian expatriate was arrested in Mahboula area in possession of 34 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. Two Kuwaiti citizens who are wanted by law for their involvement in criminal cases were also arrested. Security sources affirmed that Ahmadi securitymen will continue to hold such campaigns in the governorate to ensure the law is followed and to put an end to reckless driving on the Kuwaiti roads.
