KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: A person armed with a Kalashnikov and rounds of ammunition infiltrated Al- Maqdad bin al-Aswad School in Jahra area. Sources said Interior Ministry’s security systems intervened and prevented the suspect from causing any harm, adding that students and teachers remained in the classrooms with the doors locked until the operation was over.

The suspect was referred to concerned authorities. In a follow-up of the report by Al- Seyassah daily, officials from the Ministry of Education confirmed that the security systems managed to control the situation and prevented the suspect from perpetrating his criminal intentions inside the school. They stressed the ministry spares no effort in ensuring safety and security of students in all educational zones.

The horse lies dead in hit with a mini-bus.

Driver hurt, horse dies in collisionThe driver of a bus sustained serious injuries when the bus hit a horse which suddenly ran across Salmi Road, reports Al-Shahed daily. Reportedly, the driver was surprised when the horse suddenly appeared in the middle of the road and he was unable to stop the bus on time from hitting the horse. The horse was killed on the spot. The driver sustained several injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital. Traffic was blocked for some time until the corpse of the horse was removed from the road.
