Securitymen nab man wanted by law in KD 40,000 debt case – KD 3,200 stolen from Egyptian’s house; wanted Saudi arrested

KUWAIT CITY, July 2: An unidentifi ed individual who is wanted by law for failing to pay KD 40,000 debt was arrested in Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, the suspect was taken into custody at a security checkpoint in the area. He has been referred to the Sentences Enforcement Department. Meanwhile, securitymen arrested a Filipino man in Farwaniya area where he is wanted by law on two forgery crimes. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

KD 3,200 stolen from home: An unknown individual broke into the house of an Egyptian man in Hawally area and stole KD 3,200, reports Al- Rai daily. Offi cers from the General Department for Criminal Evidences lifted fi ngerprints and collected evidences to identify the culprit.

Wanted Saudi nabbed: A Saudi national, who is wanted by law in his country for several crimes and whose name is included in the wanted list of the Interpol, was arrested in Mubarak Al-Kabeer area, reports Al-Rai daily According to security sources, Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen were patrolling the area when they suspected a man who was driving down a street and stopped him for checking. They discovered that he is a Saudi national who is wanted by law in his home country. They referred him to the concerned authorities in preparation for his extradition.

Several held for drugs: Securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti couple, a Bedoun man and an American in possession of drugs during intensive security campaigns in Hawally, Salmiya and Salwa areas, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, a Kuwaiti couple appeared disoriented when they arrived at a security checkpoint in Salmiya area. Securitymen checked the vehicle and found a piece of hashish, a cigarette rolled with hashish and narcotic pills. Bedoun man and an American were caught driving recklessly in the area. Securitymen checked them to fi nd a cigarette rolled with hashish and some pills suspected to be drugs. Meanwhile, securitymen rushed to the parking area of Bayan Cooperative Society after the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received a report about a young man motionless inside a parked car. However, they discovered that the youth was under the infl uence of drugs. They arrested him and seized the drugs and narcotic pills in his possession. The fi ve drug users have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Move to release police officers: Interior Ministry Lieutenant General Sulaiman Fahad Al-Fahad issued a decision to release all police offi cers detained for disciplinary action such that the period of detention will be terminated by the end of the last working day in the holy month of Ramadan. In a press statement, the ministry said the decision was in compliance with the directive of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid Al-Sabah on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

Ex-husband damages car: A Kuwaiti woman accused her ex-husband of damaging the glass window of her vehicle and leaving a note on the door in which he threatened to cause her harm, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the woman lodged a complaint at Jabriya Police Station against her ex-husband, revealing that she has several problems with him and the lawsuits fi led in this regard are at the courts. Securitymen will summon the man for questioning.
