Securitymen nab Kuwaiti man and a woman for drugs in Salmiya

KUWAIT CITY, May 1: A Kuwaiti man and a woman, both in their 20s, were arrested in Salmiya area in possession of hashish, drug paraphernalia and a sensitive weighing scale.

According to security sources, Private Task force officers were patrolling Salmiya area when they noticed a vehicle with two occupants parked in a lot in Salmiya area and approached it.

They checked the details of the man and woman in the vehicle and discovered they are Kuwaitis. An inspection of the vehicle revealed the above mentioned illicit items.

The two suspects were arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.

Woman among many held: Officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate apprehended a Kuwaiti citizen accompanied by a woman in Maboula area in possession of illicit drugs and paraphernalia. They were referred to Drug Prosecution. Also, officers from Jahra Security Command arrested a person who was found in an abnormal state after seizing rolls of hashish and other drug equipments from him. Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen nabbed a citizen in possession of 2 sachets of shabu, a sachet of heroin and additional sachet of chemical. They also caught another citizen in front of a school in the same area under the influence of liquor. All suspects have since been referred to concerned authorities for necessary action.
