Securitymen nab 30 expats caught begging

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7: Large number of beggars who had gathered around mosques in Kuwait City before and after Friday prayers were arrested during a security campaign, reports Al- Anba daily quoting a security source. He said securitymen from General Department for Residency Affairs launched the sudden campaign and arrested 30 expatriates who were caught begging. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Missing woman in hospital:A media woman, who was reported as missing by her family, was discovered in Mubarak Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, Salmiya securitymen found the missing woman in the hospital. She informed them that she fell unconscious when she was walking along a beach with her friend.

Accidents kill 2: An Indian expatriate died when his vehicle collided with another in Salmi area, reports Al-Rai daily. In a similar incident, a Syrian national died on the spot when his vehicle collided with three others in Qashaniya area. The corpses of both victims were referred to Forensics Department.

Fire engulfs vehicle: Fire engulfed a vehicle in South Surra area. No injuries were reported. According to a press release issued by Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), when the Control Room of KFSD received information about the vehicle on fire, firefighters rushed to the location along with securitymen and extinguished the fire in record time. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
