Two unknown individuals tried to kidnap a Jordanian girl from the parking area of Egaila beach. According to security sources, the Jordanian girl filed a case at Fintas Police Station, explaining that two unknown men stalked her and one of them tried to give her his mobile number.

When she refused, he touched her inappropriately and caught her hand, trying to pull her into a vehicle in which his other friend was waiting. They ran away when she started shouting for help. Using the details of the vehicle given by the victim, securitymen have launched investigations to find and arrest the suspects

Docus forged: First Lieutenant Officer, whose identity has not been disclosed and is believed to be an employee of the Ahmadi Security Directorate, has been arrested for forging official documents, reports Al-Rai daily.

The arrest came after the man’s sisters (one of them married to a Saudi) were involved in a dispute following which she complained to the Salmiya Police Station that of officer had fraudulently added the name of his nephew to his file to facilitate him to get the Kuwaiti nationality. When the officer was summoned for interrogation, he admitted to the charge. He has been handed over to the Public Prosecution.

Smuggling bid foiled: Customs officers at the Doha Port recently foiled an attempt of by Iranian man to smuggle into the country medical equipments, reports Al-Rai daily.

The contraband was allegedly hidden inside a consignment of food wrapped in leaves. A security source said that equipments have been confiscated and the man has been referred to the concerned authority.

Maid hurt fleeing: A Filipino housemaid who attempted to escape from the domestic labor office in Hawalli has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said the maid reportedly jumped out of the office window and suffered fractures. Police found a chair next to the window, which suggests it was an attempt to escape
