KUWAIT CITY, May 5: In compliance with the instructions of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, police officers from the Public Security Sector conducted extensive security campaigns in all six governorates in the last 48 hours resulting in the arrest of 69 individuals wanted by law for involvement in various civil and criminal cases, among others.

Officers from the Capital Security Command arrested a Bedoun wanted by law for involvement in a financial case amounting to KD 1,000 while an Egyptian with the same offense for the amount KD 2,200 in addition to two citizens for KD 4,500, an Indian for KD 82, another Egyptian for KD 86 and a citizen for KD 179.

All of them were referred to the concerned security authority where they will be asked to pay the money they owe to different entities. Officers from the Hawally Security Command arrested a citizen wanted by law for involvement in a criminal case, whereas four people were arrested for violating the Residency Law and five people for failure to present valid identification documents.

The officers also issued 27 citations for various traffic violations.

In Ahmadi Governorate, the officers impounded a car involved in a breach of trust case. They also arrested three citizens wanted by law for involvement in financial cases.

In Jahra, seven people were arrested for violating the Residency Law, three people involved in civil cases and two citizens involved in criminal cases, in addition to impounding two cars.

In Farwaniya Governorate, 10 expatriates were arrested for civil financial cases with amounts ranging from KD 200 to KD 5,000. In Mubarak Al-Kabeer, four people were arrested for involvement in criminal cases, five for financial cases, five for absconding and four for Residency Law violations, in addition to impounding two cars and issuance of 110 traffic citations.

Also, the Special Task Force officers in all six governorates arrested seven people wanted by law for involvement in financial cases and an Egyptian who evaded a seven-year jail term for an undisclosed case.

MP’s son caught: The Ahmadi police have arrested the juvenile son of an unidentified Member of Parliament for reckless driving and driving without a licence, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the juvenile who has been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution, was caught by a traffic police patrol.
