Saudi Arabia implements new visit visa fee, including maids

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has started implementing some procedures along its borders points regarding the entry of domestic workers who travel with Kuwaiti families and the vehicles going to Saudi Arabia.

In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media General Department at the Ministry of Interior revealed the Kingdom has started applying the new visit visa fee — SAR2,000 instead of SAR200 for each visit.

The decision includes domestic workers accompanying Kuwaiti families visiting the Kingdom. The department added that the procedures include specifying the period of stay for Kuwaiti vehicles in Saudi territories — three months, closure of Alhamattiyat land border entry, and authorizing Al-Khafji and Riggae borders to allow livestock grazing in Saudi land.

The department urged citizens to comply with the instructions issued by concerned Saudi authorities to avoid delays or incomplete procedures when they pass through the borders.
