KUWAIT CITY, May 20: The Public Prosecution has once again issued a decision to impose travel ban on two Kuwaiti citizens and a Russian expatriate who have been accused of embezzling amounts totaling $166 million from the ports’ fund after the Criminal Court lifted their travel ban last February following an appeal filed against them, reports Aljarida daily quoting sources.

They said that the Prosecution’s decision was made immediately after the referral of the case file to the Criminal Court to try the three defendants in light of the charges against them of embezzling about $166 million.

The sources affirmed that such a decision falls within the procedures that the prosecution has to take in accordance with the law, adding that none of the three suspects can leave the country including the Russian expatriate whose lawyer had recently announced her return.
