KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: People flocked to communication service centers to pay their bills in cash because the website of the Communications Ministry has not been working for two weeks; thereby, delaying transactions, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.Sources confirmed the ministry sends mobile phone messages to subscribers every month to remind them to settle their bills on time in order to avoid automatic disconnection but the website glitch proved to be an inconvenience as most people prefer to pay online to save time and effort.Meanwhile, in a statement to the daily, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Sector Jaza Al-Mutairi explained the ministry’s website malfunctioned due to a technical fault in the server. He affirmed the technical team is now fixing the glitch and the website will be operational soon.He then appealed for understanding and cooperation of the public in this regard. And, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has no intention to reshuffle or transfer employees between departments in the next few weeks, reports Al-Anba daily quoting knowledgeable sources.Sources disclosed this decision is in line with the instruction of the Civil Service Commission to suspend appointments to supervisory posts in governmental authorities – whether through delegation, promotion and transfer – until the formation of the new government
