Ruling in ‘Abdali Cell’ case March 7

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: Kuwaiti courts issued a set of important decisions and verdicts on Tuesday, Jan 17, reports Al- Seyassah daily. The Criminal Court has decided to issue its verdict on the infamous case of “Abdali Cell”, the members of which are accused of undertaking military training in the military bases of “Hezbollah” in Lebanon, during the session of March 7.

Meanwhile, the Administration Court has referred two public prosecutors for retirement. In its verdict, it ordered the payment of compensation worth KD 5,001 for each of them. Also, the Misdemeanor Court acquitted a police officer who was accused of misusing authority and of violence. It imposed a fine on the plaintiffs for assaulting the police officer.

In a case filed against an Egyptian for using words deemed offensive to the Amiri entity, the Criminal Court ruled that he is not legally liable to stand trial after the psychiatric report showed that he wasn’t responsible for his action.
